Although it is still relatively unknown to the general public, Zavratnica Cove is reputed to be one of the most beautiful bays on the Adriatic. This sunken valley with canyon cliffs up to 100 meters high is home to numerous indigenous plant species. It has been part of the Velebit Nature Park since 1981, and it is only a half-hour walk from Jablanac. The trail by the sea is suitable for all ages and connects Jablanac with the cove where the pristine turquoise sea kisses the gray shades of Velebit. The observation deck offers a view of the entire cove, while the islands of Rab and Pag create an almost miraculous vista that will leave everyone breathless. For divers and history buffs, there is also a shipwreck from the Second World War whose outlines can be seen on the surface of the crystal-clear sea.
